Everything is great except 4 things: Mass Storage Controller PCI Device - which i believe is the sound card Video Controller Vedeo Controller (VGA compatible) I have scoured this forum and tried from what i can tell every driver and none seem to work. Has anyone seen this or know of a fix? I've seen websites suggesting reinstalling the chipset drivers. I recently downgraded to XP from Vista on my Sony Vaio fz160e. If I tell Vista to simply look in C:\Windows and subfolders, it eventually finds the drivers, but I have to do this for every step.įor example, to get a simple USB key to work, I have to go through that about 3 times, once for the key, then for the storage drivers, then the drivers for the generic volume. It then prompts for a CD (which does not exist) or allows me to browse for the drivers. Whenever I plug in a flash drive or card reader or anything that should use the universal mass storage drivers, Vista says it doesn't have the drivers for it. I'm running into a Vista problem I've never seen before.
